 Hands on cooking classes to grow healthy bodies and minds.

Mission:

Children will be given the opportunity to experience preparing and eating healthy foods in a hands on environment.

• Socially/emotionally– each activity will help children develop pride and confidence in their skills and abilities. Lots of thinking skills through problem solving and following recipes.

 

• Physically – Chopping, spreading, stirring, pouring and mixing are all cooking skills that help strengthen and develop small muscle control and eye-hand coordination.

 

• Language Development – Children will follow recipe cards and develop new words and concepts through discussions.

 

• Cognitively – Cooking inspires children’s curiosity, thinking, and problem solving abilities. Children will develop maths and science skills through measuring, pouring, using spoons and scales.

 

  Class Information:

• Our classes run for 60 minutes, 30 minutes for 3-5 yr olds

• During School Terms only and not on any Public Holidays

• A term is 10 weeks

• 1 facilitator

• Each week we focus on a different unit

• Please arrive 5-10 minutes before starts class so your child can settle into the programmed activities

• Please make sure children bring their own water bottle, apron and pen/pencil to each class.

REGISTRATION FEE

 

A Registration Fee of $30.00 per child is to be paid to Decorati prior to the start of the first class your child is enrolled in.

 

This fee covers the following:

• Administration

• Insurance

• Enrolment Package

 

Enrolment package includes:

• Welcome letter and information

• Decorati Apron (required to be worn during required time in class)

• Keepsake folder

• $5.00 voucher to be used at your next booking of a special event organised by Decorati

HOW TO ENROL YOUR CHILD

Please come into our centre to complete an Enrolment form.

Please note: Minimum of 4 children for class to run.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

• Decorati reserves the right to refuse entry.

• Every possible effort is made to deliver classes and services on time as advertised. However, the schedule is subject to change or cancellation.

• Parents/siblings are not permitted in the classroom while classes are in session as it causes distraction.

• Please encourage children to wear comfortable clothing and closed in jogger type shoe suitable for class.

• Students may bring a water bottle for class.

• Children are required to wear their Decorati apron during class at the required time. Should you forget to bring the apron to class, one will be provided by Decorati at a fee of $5.00

Cancellation/Refund policy: 

• We do not give refunds if you change your mind or if the day doesn’t suit. (Refunds may be requested due to an unexpected family move or serious illness necessitating withdrawal from class and will be considered on a case by case basis)

• If there are insufficient students, or if an instructor has an emergency Decorati reserves the right to cancel the class, you will be notified by email as soon as possible, and you will receive a full refund for the one class.

No show policy: 

Absence to a class is not refundable.
